Here we are, starting our winter programme! We have a brilliant array of topics for our Monday meetings. It is hoped that some of our meetings will be indoors. For September we will meet via zoom, and then review towards the end of the month our options for meeting up in a venue. Watch this space...
This month is a mix of sharing our images from the summer, learning some basic and advanced editing skills, image critiquing, and a talk from an invited speaker.
Due to not meeting up in person for our Monday sessions this month, we have organised some 'extra curricular' get togethers for those who wish to:
Thurs 9th - Ilfracombe
Thurs 16th - Appledore
Thurs 23rd - Crowpoint with incoming tide
Thurs 30th - Lee Bay with tide out
In the gallery below you'll find the winning images from the May, June and July summer challenges.

6th September: Zoom meeting
Bring 10 images you have taken during the summer to show club members and say a few words about them if you wish. These can be images you took for the summer challenges or from our evening meet-ups, or other images you have taken during the summer months.
We will also have a discussion about the winter programme.
13th September: zoom meeting
We will look at basic editing techniques, e.g. how to title/resize images, and some more advanced techniques. Techniques will be demonstrated using different editing tools, including; camera raw, lightroom, photoshop + other software.
We will spend time doing some critique of images to help with knowing what a good competition image looks like, i.e. what to keep in mind when getting your images competition ready. As part of this, we will look at images that may be contenders for the Kingswood Salva. If you have some Skyline images bring your best 3.
Our first invited speaker the year, Jane Lazenby, will be showcasing her images.
You can see Jane's work on her website: https://www.ejlazenbyphotography.co.uk
"My love of art led to a fine art degree and many years as an artist specialising in portrait human and animal. I found a love for teaching and supporting others and qualified to teach in Further and Higher Education. Throughout this time my love of photography grew, and alongside that, my creative soul grabbed Photoshop and ran!
I adore romance, creativity, intrigue and originality. My background as a painter allows me a unique artistic interpretation and style to my images which have met critical acclaim both nationally and internationally!"
4th and 5th September - Sea Ilfracombe
11th and 12th September - Winsford cottage hospital
