Directions to Loxhore
From Blackmoor Gate:
With Blackmoor Gate on your left, continue on A339, take the first turning on your right, signposted Whistland Pound. The turning for Loxhore church is on your right after approximately 4 miles. It is also signposted South Town Farm.
(Along that road you'll go past the entrance to Whistland Pound, the Carriage Drivers Training school, a couple of signs pointing right to Arlington and Brecot, and Beshill Farm Shop on your left)

Take the right turn to the church. About 1/4 mile along you'll see a cottage on the right and a large barn opposite. Behind the barn is the parking area.

To get to the woods, turn left out of the car park main entrance and take the path that runs along the side of the car park, which brings you to a a field. There is a well worn path running across the field slightly to the right, to a gate with a sign on about the woods. Go through the gate and there you should be met with a lovely carpet of bluebells!

From Barnstaple: NB: you can join the main road to Bratton Fleming/Loxhore from the A39 (Shirwell Road) if you are not intending to head in from central Barnstaple.

Goodeligh Road starts from the end of Bear Street in Barnstaple. At a fork in the road Goodleigh Road heads off to the right towards Gunn. Bear left towards Snapper and Bratton Fleming.
Before you get to Bratton Fleming there is a left turn signposted Loxhore - shortly after taking that turn you'll see a sign for Bratton Fleming Fly Fishery.

A bit further along you'll see a sign to the right for Lower Loxhore and the Methodist Church. Don't take that turn, that's not the right church, keep going straight on.
After you've gone through Loxhore Cott look out for the left turn signposted to Loxhore Church. It is also signposted South Town Farm. Take that turn.
